mom wont let me change my room?

so i have basically the room of a 5 year old its purple and i have disney princess pics on the walls and a wooden castle set in the corner and antique furniture. also, the walls are painted purple. we are putting an addition on the house and there will be a new guest room so im moving in there. im changing the wall color to aqua and getting rid of the castle and a lot of other junk i dont use, but my mom wants me to keep the princess pics and furniture. i feel bad cuz it was all probably expensive but i really dont like my room. i want to get all new furniture and leave the walls bare besides maybe some storage shelves, but i dont know how to talk to my mom about it. shes one of those ppl who can be stubborn and once shes made up her mind its final, so she can be hard to talk to. help???

How old are you? If you are younger than 12, then let your mom have her way a little longer. If you are 13, tell her she is being unreasonable and refuse to sleep in the room if she does not redecorate.
