refrigerator wont shut off?
i dont know much about fixing these things but i looked at the schematic and the wiring diagram that came with it. i changed the relay, overload, and capacitor, as well as the defrost timer, cold controler and Defrost Thermostat. i kinda running out of options if any one can inlighten me it would be greatly appreciated. i put the temp on zero and it stops, any thing above that it just runs and runs and runs. it gets really cold and still runs
How long has it been running?
the temp should be around 35-40 in the fresh side and below freezing in the freezer. If the probe is positioned wrong then it may not shut off. Does the probe need to be in the freezer compartment?If the freon level is wrong then the freezer may not get cold enough to shut down the control tstat. The low side pressure should be around 5 PSI.
