EXPENSIVE Fridge gone wrong, HELP!?

hello there
we managed to enquire a nice double fronted fridge from a friend for next to no money. and we were soo chuffed, however we have now discovered that the stainless steel double fronted fridge has trouble keeping the temperature below freezing in the refrigerator side...EVERYTHING FREEZES! arrrh The fridge had a knock while moving it..it's massive!...and we have tried turning it off for a few days but the temperature still goes up and down as it pleases.

so if anyone has any ideas how may fix it right ..please help.

You have done all the right things i.e switching it off then leaving it for a while, since this didn't work the problem has to be with a faulty thermostat (regulates the temperature,switches cooling system off when it reaches below a certain temp in box)...which honestly I'd leave an engineer to fix.
