I have a kenmore elite calypso washing machine and I went to start a load and a code of L5 is flashing and I d
the model # is 11024084200
I am an appliance technician, and I own that same machine.
The error code is actually a LS not L5, it stands for a lid switch error, it could be a bad lid switch or you may have forgotten you had a previous load in and went to rewash and went and started tyhe machine without opening the lid which automatically throws an LS error.

P.S LD stands for long drain, you need to clean your pump or it might need the new updated drain pump motor. I may be able to help you with that.
