How much would grain storage bins be worth?
We're in the process of buying a farm house and some acreage that has 6 grain storage bins sitting on it. We don't foresee having any use for them. Would it be possible to rent them out, or even sell them to someone to take them away? How much money, if any, would it be possible for us to get by
The property is in central Illinois, if that helps...
Sure it's possible to rent or sell them. Value would depend on age and size. Are they round metal bins? You could probably get some good info at your local grain elevator. They also probably have a bulliten board you could advertise them on.
Just a guess, but if they are "average sized" metal bins in good shape they are probably worth between 3-6K each.
